Fees
At The Mind Garden Psychology, our fees follow the guidance of the Australian Psychological Society ’s recommended rates, ensuring our services remain aligned with industry standards.

If you need additional services—such as support letters or documentation—we’re happy to help. These services may incur an additional fee based on the time involved, but rest assured, we’ll always discuss any costs with you beforehand so there are no surprises.

For your convenience, we accept bank transfer, EFTPOS, and debit/credit card payments.

Standard Individual Session​
​
The cost for a standard 50-minute session is $280.
Full payment is required at the time of the appointment.
ADHD, Cognitive & Educational Assessment
​​
The cost for the assessment is $2,150.
This includes:

Initial parent/client consultation
-
Direct assessment sessions
-
Conners 4 rating and ABAS-3 (adaptive functioning scales) forms for both parent and teacher (for child clients) or for the client and a close acquaintance/relative (for adult clients)

Comprehensive written report
Booking Deposit: $280
A $280 deposit is required to secure your initial appointment. This secures the time allocated specifically for you or your child. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled, as this time is reserved exclusively. The deposit is credited toward the total fee, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the assessment.
Autism Assessment
The cost for the assessment is $2,380
This includes:

2 separate assessment sessions,
-
ABAS-3 (adaptive functioning scales) and Social Response Scale (severity of social impairment) forms for both parent and teacher (for child clients) or for the client and a close acquaintance/relative (for adult clients)

a comprehensive written report

Medicare Rebate​
You’re welcome to access our services with or without a referral—no GP referral is required to get started.

However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session, for up to 10 standard psychological therapy sessions each calendar year.
​
To make sure we can process your rebate smoothly, please bring your referral and Mental Health Care Plan to your first appointment, or feel free to email them to us ahead of time.

If you have any questions about referrals or rebates, you can reach out to us and we are happy to help.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligable to claim rebates for psychological services depending on your coverage. Please contact your insurer to determine if you are able to claim on sessions.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. If you're unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the time to someone else who may be waiting for support.

At The Mind Garden Psychology, we do have a cancellation policy in place to help us manage our schedule and ensure fair access to appointments for all clients. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session.

To make changes to your appointment, please email us at admin@mindgardenpsych.com.au so we can time-stamp your request and process it accordingly.

Late cancellations can be difficult to fill, as we set aside time specifically for your session—including preparation time—so we appreciate your understanding of the following cancellation fees:
Cancellation Fees:

More than 48 hours’ notice: No fee

Within 24–48 hours: 50% of the full session fee ($140),

Less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointment: 100% of the full session fee ($280), ​
